1. Eligibility Requirements

Net credit terms are available only to business customers on Downstream Marketplace.

Please note:

  • Individuals are not eligible for net terms financing
  • Applications must be submitted by a logged-in user
  • The submitting user must have a verified email address

2. How to Apply for Credit

To enhance security, all applicants must apply directly through the Downstream app or desktop platform. Credit applications are not accepted by email.

You can begin your application in one of two ways:

  • from your account or company billing settings
  • during checkout when placing an order

3. Applying on Mobile

a. From Your Profile

To apply from the mobile app:

  1. Go to Profile
  2. Select Invoicing and Payments
  3. Tap Invoice Settings
  4. Click Apply Now to start your credit application

b. During Checkout

You can also apply while placing an order:

  1. Add items to your cart
  2. Proceed to Checkout
  3. Select Pay Later as your payment method
  4. Click Apply Now to begin your application

4. Applying on Desktop

a. From Company Settings

To apply from the desktop platform:

  1. Navigate to Billing & Payment Methods
  2. Scroll to Payment Terms
  3. Click Apply Now

If your company already has credit terms, you may see Request Increase instead of Apply Now.

b. During Checkout

You can also apply while checking out:

  1. Add items to your cart
  2. Proceed to Checkout
  3. Click Apply Now to start your credit application

5. What Happens Next

Once your application is submitted, the Downstream team will review it and notify you of the decision.

If your business is approved for net credit terms:

  • you may be able to place orders without a credit card at checkout
  • eligible orders can be submitted using your approved payment terms
  • your company may be able to Pay by Check, based on the terms approved by Downstream
